Foodshare SC plans to launch community cooking classes in 2025 at its newly renovated Columbia kitchen, aiming to promote healthy eating.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The non-profit called Foodshare SC, which brings fresh produce to homes across the Midlands, is bringing community programming to Columbia this year. That’s according to its executive director, Omme-Salma Rahemtullah.
Rahemtullah said the non-profit plans to launch its community cooking classes in 2025. The goal is to teach more people about healthy eating and cooking.
“We were in another building and then the building got sold, so we had to move to another building, but it does certainly allow us to increase our capacity for sure,” Rahemtullah said.
