Fond du Lac superintendent faces backlash at school board meeting [Video]

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) – Members of the Fond du Lac community spoke out at a school board meeting on Monday night.

The discussion sparked from a meeting between the district’s superintendent and middle school staff, where they say the superintendent made remarks that teachers leave the meeting visibly upset and hurt by his comments.

Educators and parents in Fond du Lac are calling for a change in leadership, saying superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fleig was openly belittling teachers in meetings, and telling some they could be fired at the end of the school year.

Several dozen community members were in attendance for the meeting with hundreds more watching online.
