The FBI arrested 27 individuals, including a powerboat team owner, charged with drug trafficking and firearm offenses in southern Florida, according to local reports.
John Robert Strama Jr. is among those listed by the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Florida’s press release as a defendant in the case, which led to the arrests on September 5. He is referred to as a convicted felon, and is facing charges relating to cocaine distribution and firearms. If convicted, he will face up to life in prison.
Various local media outlets have identified Strama Jr. as the owner of JS Racing S-7, a powerboat speed racing team based in Marathon, Florida Keys.
