FLINT, Mich. (WJRT)- Flint Community Schools is working to bring the community entertainment and enrichment opportunities.
The school district’s “Community-wide Outreach Event” brought people together Saturday afternoon at the former Northwestern High School Campus to explore educational opportunities and resources available in Flint.
“Flint Community Schools is re-energizing the pride of Flint schools. I’m a Flint kid, I went to school in Flint schools, and many of the folks that work here and serve children have done the same. And as you can see this is the pride of Flint,” said Superintendent Kevelin Jones.
Highlights of the event included live entertainment, hands-on activities, outdoor games and books and school supplies.
