Fleeing suspect crashes into car in Spokane Valley, causing injuries [Video]

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -A suspect fleeing from Spokane County deputies ran a red light and crashed into another car in Spokane Valley, resulting in multiple injuries, including one life-threatening.

According to a press release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office today, July 19, at about 6:10 pm, a Spokane Valley Deputy attempted to stop a car on Sprague near McDonald Avenue. Deputies stated the Subaru did not have a license plate and attempted to flee from the deputy.

The SCSO reported that the deputy did not pursue the suspect. The suspect then ran a red light at McDonald Avenue, causing a crash that set the suspect’s car on fire due to the impact.

Deputies mentioned that the suspect’s Subaru, occupied by three people, was traveling eastbound when it ran the red light and collided with a northbound Honda, also occupied by three people, which in turn struck a truck occupied by one person.
