First responders receive a free lunch as a thank you from community members [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – First responders received a free lunch courtesy of local businesses and thankful community members Wednesday. The event was first started during the COVID-19 pandemic by financial advisor, Todd Clark who wanted to do something to thank first responders for their service.

”I saw how much the first responders were doing for us between EMT, police, fire.. and I decided to find a way to give back and I started this and it has grown every year since,” said Clark.

Employees of Spitfire Bar and Grill, Country Financial, and Raboin Realty helped in feeding roughly 300 first responders.

“Events like this are never expected but always appreciated… good food, good friends, good camaraderie with our fellow public safety partners and very much appreciated,” said EMT, Chad Mickelson.
