ProMedica and Mercy each announced the births of babies at local hospitals.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Happy New Year! Northwest Ohio hospitals are announcing the first babies born in 2025.
ProMedica Toledo Hospital announced in a press release Wednesday the birth of Azaiah Skinner, born to parents De’Lexzy Conley and Kevin Skinner of Maumee. Azaiah was born at 4:50 a.m. He is 6 pounds, 0.7 ounces, and 20 inches long, ProMedica said.

At ProMedica Bay Park Hospital, Teresa Cruz Santiz of Toledo welcomed baby boy Kevin just after midnight at 12:03 a.m. The baby is 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches long. A picture of little Kevin is included below:
