WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The first cultural festival hosted by the City of Warner Robins has a new date set for the third time this year.
Now, the International City Experience is scheduled to happen on Perkins Field from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on the first Saturday of September.
“It’s still rain or shine; we’re just going to take it hour by hour,” marketing coordinator Lera Moncrief said.
Moncrief works for the city’s Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
“Our first one was to be in March, but that was delayed because of weather,” she explained. “Then we pushed it to May, but that got delayed because of weather, so here we are in September.”
Moncrief said in addition to some new groups joining the event’s cast, about 75% of the original entertainers and vendors will be at this weekend’s event.
