Firefighters respond to East Point house fire on New Year’s Eve [Video]

There are currently no injuries to firefighters or community members, the East Point Fire Department said.

EAST POINT, Ga. — East Point firefighters responded to a vacant house with heavy flames and smoke emanating from the building on New Year’s Eve. 

According to the fire department, crews responded to a structure fire on the 3400 block of Dodson Drive Connector around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 

When they arrived, firefighters reported a vacant house with heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure. Firefighters secured a water source and continued efforts to extinguish the fire past 11 p.m. 

East Point Fire said there were no injuries to firefighters or community members.
