FIREFIGHTERS from Dun Laoghaire Fire Station battled a wildfire on Killiney Hill last night.
The hill is one of Dublin’s most popular walking routes and is located on the southern boundary of Dublin Bay.
The hill overlooks both Dalkey and Killiney villages, which are home to a host of celebrities.
Bono, Enya and Pat Kenny all reside in the areas surrounding Killiney Hill.
Last night’s wildfire could be seen for a large distance and strong winds caused the smoke to travel.
Two fire engines and a wildfire response jeep were dispatched to tackle the fire.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) Dublin Fire Brigade shared images of the shocking wildfire.
