Fire breaks out at red-tagged building in near-northside of Sioux City [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Sioux City Fire Rescue battled a fire at 14th and Nebraska Street, Monday night.

SCFR officials tell KTIV this is the fourth time they have been called out to a fire in this building, the former Jewish Community Center, in the last three days, with fire crews finding a fire on two of those calls. The building was red-tagged after the first fire on Saturday.

Monday night, crews were called out to the red-tagged building shortly before 9:30 p.m.

“We know people are in there, we don’t want anyone to get hurt; whether it’s someone just trying to stay warm or if it’s one of our people who could possibly get hurt.
