FHP investigates fatal crash in Wesley Chapel [Video]

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. (WFLA) —Florida Highway Patrol investigated a fatal crash in Wesley Chapel that occurred early Friday morning.

According to FHP, a Chevy Express, driven by a 51-year-old Largo man was traveling southbound on Bruce B Downs Boulevard.

At the Intersection of Aronwood Boulevard and Bruce B Downs Boulevard, the Chevy continued through the intersection with a green light when a 33-year-old Wesley Chapel man failed to obey the pedestrian walk signal, FHP said.

The pedestrian walked into the path of the Chevy and was hit resulting in fatal injuries at the scene.
