BEAUFORT, S.C. (WCSC) – The Federal Emergency Management Administration will host a disaster recovery center this week for Beaufort County residents affected by Hurricane Helene.
The center will operate from Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Burton Wells Recreation Center in Beaufort, FEMA officials say.
Representatives from FEMA, the state of South Carolina and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be able to provide information and no appointments are necessary.
The quickest way to apply for help is to visit DisasterAssistance.gov.
Applications can also be filed using the FEMA App for mobile devices or by calling toll-free 800-621-3362. The telephone line is open every day and help is available in many languages.
If you use a relay service, such as Video Relay Service, captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.
