HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -For more than 50 years, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church has hosted a fall spaghetti dinner. The event doubles as a fund raiser for the parish school and a community get together. On Sunday, the school gym was turned into an Italian restaurant for all to enjoy.
The event starts with a hearty Italian meal. Throw in a sweet shop with dozens of confections and a book fair for the serious reader and you have the makings of a fun afternoon.
The doors opened at noon and the last dinner was served at 7. Counting take out and delivery orders and the OLF dinner serves nearly 2,000 meals every year!
Fatima has been a stalwart in the Huntington religious community for 70years.
