IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG/Gray News) – Decades after being rejected from dental school, a father is getting his chance to live his dream and learn dentistry.
John Pace, 50, always wanted to be a dentist, but after being rejected from dental school 30 years ago, he put that dream aside. He instead worked in artificial intelligence and data sciences for over 10 years before he decided to try for dentistry again, KCRG reports.
“Really, the main thing was I’m not getting any younger. I wasn’t happy in the career that I was in, and it was going to be time to make a change anyways. This has really been the thing I wanted to do for so long. Let’s do it,” Pace said.
