Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero launched on October 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but you can somewhat play it on Android too, thanks to emulation. Enthusiasts wasted no time testing out this anime fighting game, developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco. Surprisingly, it works — at least in a limited sense.
The emulation is done through the Winlator app, which allows you to run Windows applications on Android. When I say “playable,” I mean that the game boots up and runs, but not without issues. The frame rates are quite low, as shown in YouTube videos of the emulated game, likely due to Android devices not meeting the game’s high system requirements and some limitations of the emulator itself. Still, it’s impressive that it boots up and runs at all.
