LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. (WTVG) – Officials positively identified the human remains police found on one of the Warner properties as that of Dee Warner, a Lenawee County woman who went missing more than 3 years ago.
Now Dee’s family is mourning the loss, while also being comforted by the closure.
Dee’s brother, Gregg Hardy, said the new developments almost don’t feel real with all the twists and turns of this case.
Wednesday’s announcement that the remains were officially determined to be that of Dee Warner was an announcement her brother had been waiting for.
“Signing a death certificate with the identification of it being my sister was such a reassuring event. And it made it final,” Hardy said.
He finally had the truth in the disappearance of his beloved sister.
Dee Warner’s friends and family describe her as a beloved member of her Lenawee County community, a thriving businesswoman and mother. They say she was outspoken, funny and family-oriented.
