TOLEDO, Ohio — It’s been nearly two weeks since a fire on Homer Avenue in north Toledo took out a home leaving families displaced. One of those families is now seeking support from the community after losing nearly everything in the fire.
Wayne Alexander, his wife, and his uncle are currently staying at the Crown Inn Motel on West Alexis Road in a single room, scraping by with the little bit they can afford.
“I’m wearing the same clothes I’ve been wearing since the fire,” Alexander said.
