Fall weather pattern settles in for the Gulf Coast [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Gulf Coast experienced an incredible sight last night as the aurora borealis became visible all the way down to our beaches. We’ve received many photos of this rare event. Remember, if you have any photos, you can send them in through the FOX10 Weather App.

Our Friday afternoon will warm up to the lower 80s with sunny skies expected. Looking ahead, the fall pattern looks to continue, with another cold front approaching Monday night into Tuesday.

TODAY:

Expect temperatures to reach the lower 80s this afternoon. Skies will be mainly sunny throughout the day, with clear conditions continuing into the evening. Our football forecast is looking great—expect very comfortable temperatures around kickoff for many games across our area. By the final whistle, temperatures should be in the 60s.

Overnight temperatures will fall through the 60s and into the 50s. Some areas may once again dip into the 40s …
