Fairmont State host football empower hour [Video]

FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) – The Disability Action Center and Fairmont State Football partnered for their inaugural football empowerment hour Monday.

Officials said it’s about giving their clients a chance to grow in all areas of life.

“Empower our clients to do absolutely, everything in their community, and learn skills, that will lead them throughout their lifetime,” said Julie Sole, Executive Director, Disability Action Center.

15-20 camp participants got learn the inside outs of football, such as running routes, throwing the ball, and more. FSU’s coach says football impacts lives in many positive ways.

“I think the benefits of being out and around in terms of a football setting is you got to have a little discipline, you got to have a little fun.
