Event brings police, Hispanic community together [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay Police Department is partnering with Family and Childcare Resources of Northeast Wisconsin to help connect with the Hispanic community.

Police say it’s a chance for them to learn how to best help an underserved group.

An event at the Kroc Center on Thursday gave members of the Hispanic community a chance to learn more about local laws and ordinances while police work to build trust and show that they are a resource for them.

Officials hope the Hispanic community realizes everyone has the same goal.

“We all worry about the same things about our kids. We all have a lot of the same concerns no matter what parts of the community we come from,” Police Chief Chris Davis said.
