Eternal Research launch Demon Box Kickstarter campaign [Video]

Eternal Research have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the production of Demon Box, an innovative new electronic musical instrument that detects electromagnetic waves and turns them into musical notes. The campaign will be running until 3 October 2024, with the company hoping to ship the first units in Summer 2025. It’s already proved to be a big hit, having reached its funding goal in just 10 minutes!

The Instrument

Demon Box generates musical notes from electromagnetic interference, and comes loaded with a healthy selection of audio, MIDI and CV connectivity.The triangular-shaped Demon Box can be played with anything that emits electromagnetic interference: mobile phones, neon signs, speakers and audio equipment, power tools, neon signs, electric guitars, microwaves, fluorescent lights, electric tooth brushes… the list goes on! A collection of 33 inductors form a triangular field that detect electromagnetic interference, isolating it from ambient noise to create new and interesting sounds.
