China’s Luxeed R7 EREV, an extended-range electric SUV comparable in size to the BMW X6, debuted in China on December 19 with two variants, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between Huawei and Chery.

While Chery handles the platform development and vehicle manufacturing, Huawei is responsible for software and sales, combining their respective strengths in this innovative collaboration.

The two EREV variants of the R7, Pro and Max, come with a price tag of $34,250 and $39,700 respectively, catering to the China market. While the Max is equipped with Lidar, the cheaper Pro variant lacks the feature.
