A POPULAR Irish pub is set to close for good on New Year’s Day – with punters saying it’s the “end of an era”.
Wrights Cafe Bar in Swords, Dublin, is closing up after 23 years in business.
The Wrights team have expressed their gratitude to everyone who has been part of the journey.
Taking to Facebook, the pub shared the news to all their customers in a statement.
They said: “We’ve got some big news!
“We are closing our doors for the very last time after this NYE. It’s been an incredible 23 years but it’s time for something different.
“It’s the end of an era but…. Watch this space.”
The owners thanked their loyal customers, whose support was the foundation of the pub’s success and made it a legendary spot over the years.
