Emory University issues all clear after armed CVS robbery prompts shelter-in-place order [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Emory University police have given the all-clear after a “possible” armed robbery at a nearby drugstore Saturday morning.

At around 8:20 a.m., officers were called to the reported robbery at the CVS at Emory Point, a mixed-use development with apartment complexes and retail shops next to the university. The suspects ran away, and the community was asked to shelter in place or avoid the area as police investigated.

The shelter-in-place order was issued at around 9:10 a.m. and ended an hour later.

No suspects are in custody, police said. The investigation continues.
