SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society is kicking off its “Evlves Fill Our Shelves” campaign to support pet families in need this holiday season.
The effort aims to restock the shelves of the SFAHS Community Pet Food Bank, which provides pet food to families facing financial hardship.
“We don’t want animals to end up homeless or hungry,” said Dana Konzem, Community Outreach Director at SFAHS. “If SFAHS can help keep pets in homes by supplying a little food now and then to support struggling owners, we will.”
SFAHS is calling on the community to step up as “elves” by donating pet food and supplies.
Donations can be dropped off at the Humane Society at 3720 East Benson Road. Any brand is accepted and open bags are accepted as long as they are in their original packaging.
