MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Elisha Ministries is hosting its 4th Annual Faith Walk to celebrate recovery.
The walk is meant to celebrate recovery and fight for mental and substance recovery and healthcare workers facing trauma. She says everyone is invited to attend.
Elisha Ministries works to increase awareness and support for people in recovery and to provide support for individuals and families in need through its Helping Hands Project which seeks to provide housing, utilities, or urgent support assistance to families or individuals. The organization also provides housing referral, affordable housing and case management, financial empowerment, and transportation for chronically homeless mentally ill, substance abuse, elderly or persons with other disabling disorders.
The organization has raised over $10,000 through the event. Funds from the walk will help the organization manage community support initiatives and operations. Elisha Ministries helps people in Lincoln, Jackson, Union, Bienville and Morehouse Parish.
