RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Elevate Rapid City’s resources for the community are growing thanks to the launch of a new program to help bridge the gap between employers and prospective employees.
CareerLIFT launched Monday and is a free online learning platform for jobseekers looking to take their careers to the next level or achieve economic mobility with micro-credential courses.
Currently, the focus is on the construction and healthcare industries.
Elevate Rapid City’s workforce planning director Reese Niu said both career fields are in high demand in the region, so they were hoping to create a solution for jobseekers in those fields.
“I think we’ve done a great job at creating a solution that will actually help people, and not just a solution that we think is the right answer. We want to see people thrive here at Elevate, and so we’re hoping this project does that,” Niu said.
