Items and gift cards are being sought to assist those who lost their homes and belongings in Main Street apartment building fire.
WARSAW, N.Y. — After a devastating fire earlier this week in the Wyoming County village of Warsaw the community is rallying to help those affected by the blaze.
When the fire broke out Tuesday, about a dozen people were displaced from the apartments inside a three-story building at the corner of North Main and Frank streets.
Monica Jett, who runs the Warsaw Dry Cleaners in the nearby village of Wyoming, has helped organize an effort to help those residents, and her shop has become a clearing house of sorts for donations for those who had to leave their possessions behind.
“The response has been pretty good,” Jett told 2 On Your Side on Friday.
