A Rockingham County business is organizing a fundraiser for Morehead High School football player Trooper Wright.
EDEN, N.C. — In Eden, the community is showing their support for Morehead High football player Trooper Wright, who had his left arm amputated following an ATV accident.
“Just knowing that your child is hurt, to every mother that just stabs you in the heart. And to know that there is family and friends and people who may not even know you, it just uplifts you a little bit more,” said Amanda Flores, owner of Santana’s Mexican Restaurant.
Healing takes time and a village.
“Trooper and his family are friends of ours in a church over at Osborne. We’ve known Trooper since he was a kid and he is a super great guy and has a strong faith. We just want to come out and support,” said Chris Powell, a family friend of Trooper Wright who came out to buy …
