EBSCO updates Tattersall development proposal based on feedback from the community [Video]

HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) – An update has been given on that Tattersall development near HWY 280 and the Greystone area.

In October, neighbors were upset over a proposed mixed-use development that would include residential, hotel and commercial space.

Several hundred people signed a petition and a community survey addressing their concerns and what they would rather see in that area.

After feedback from the community through the petition and surveys, the developer EBSCO decided to make changes to their original proposal during a planning and zoning commission meeting back in October.

After several community meetings with EBSCO, a new proposal was created. The original proposed included 137 apartments; now it is down to 90.

They have also added a little over 36 condos.

They are considering taking some commercial space and potentially making more room for parking because that was a concern from the community.

There are some discussions about possibly putting another Hoover Library somewhere on that Tattersall property.
