LONGVIEW, Texas — The Longview community gathered together on Friday morning to celebrate the life of Ulises Coreas Castillo, who passed away at 17 years old last week after a brief illness.
Castillo was well-known throughout Longview, whether that was Longview High School, the restaurant where he worked or a local gym.
Layne Clark, who Castillo met at the gym, has plenty of evidence to support Castillo’s reputation.
“He cared for people and he always saw the best in people,” he said. “His vibrant personality would fill a room no matter where he was.”
