HMC Eric Nobriga, U.S. Naval Forces Africa Medical Planner, talks about the importance of Obangame Express 2024 May 8, 2024, at Libreville, Gabon, Africa. The exercise took May 6-17, 2024, throughout Africa’s West Coast, particularly in and around host nation Gabon. The exercise reinforces critical African maritime security institutions, such as the Yaoundé Architecture for Maritime Security, to deter illegal activities and protect maritime economies in the Gulf of Guinea.
