MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The community celebrated the future of downtown Monroe Tuesday (Aug. 13) morning while also cheering on the reopening of ‘The Hub’ event venue.
Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson and now the owner of the building said it was once known as ‘The Hub Music Hall’, but since the Robertson family took it over, the event venue now goes by simply ‘The Hub’.
“And I had only been here one time. I shot a commercial in this garage part, and I really didn’t know what it was, and I came over and I looked at it and I was like… this is perfect,” said Robertson.
From ULM cheerleaders to Monroe Chamber of Commerce members and Monroe city officials, the community came together to see how the reopening of ‘The Hub’ is adding to the potential of downtown Monroe.
