TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An emotional moment caught on camera: a driver asking for forgiveness after suffering a seizure and crashing into a home in Spring Hill on Monday.
The driver who said he caused potentially structural damage to the home interrupted an interview the family was doing with 8 On Your Side, apologizing on his knees to the mother.
The driver, who identified himself as Rudy, was in tears. He used his son’s electric scooter to come back to the crash site, since he said he lives just down the street.
He still had a hospital intake bracelet on his wrist and wrap bandage on his arm.
Rudy asked the homeowners for forgiveness. He said doctors told him he suffered a minor seizure, which caused him to crash into the home.
“I’m sorry,” Rudy said. “I didn’t mean to run into your house. I had a seizure.”
