Dr. Lori Phillips appointed new MSCS leadership position [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Dr. Lori Phillips has been named as the new executive director of the newly appointed Office of Partnerships at Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS), as announced by MSCS in a press release on Thursday afternoon.

“Dr. Phillips’ extensive experience and deep-rooted commitment to community engagement make her the ideal choice to lead our Office of Partnerships,” said Feagins. “With her forward-thinking vision, we will strengthen our relationships with the business community and expand our network of partnerships for the benefit of our students and families.”

The new Office of Partnerships will work with the schools within the district to ensure that they establish at least one business partner, with the goal of “enhancing” educational opportunities and support for students  in efforts with local businesses, according to MSCS.
