Dr. Harold Martin honored with key to the city [Video]

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Dr. Harold Martin Sr., the former Chancellor of North Carolina A&T State University, was awarded the Key to the City of Greensboro Tuesday night for his transformative leadership and impact on the community.

Martin, who retired in June after 15 years of guiding NC A&T, reflected on his time at the university and thanked the city for its unwavering support during his tenure.

“While it is an opportunity of retirement for my wife and me, we are still heavily engaged in the work that’s important for this community and ensuring the work that we continue to do takes root and delivers significant outgrowth and opportunities,” Martin said during the ceremony.
