GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. (DGRI) is now accepting applications for grants to bring more “vibrancy” to the city this summer.
The Activate Grant program provides funding for public space activations to help culturally enhance the Grand Rapids community.
Proposals for the grants can include artworks, events, murals and more. Those interested can apply for up to $10,000 to support their project.
DGRI said proposals need to be suitable for all audiences, accessible for all abilities and open to the public.
The grant program is open to all artistic mediums and forms of activation. Proposals designed for underutilized, dormant spaces will be given preference for the grants.
