DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – It has been a big year for Dothan in terms of industrial growth, and more is expected heading into the new year.
As this year comes to an end, a lot has happened for the city of Dothan on the industry front.
“In 2024, we had over $56 million in industrial investment from capital in our community. Over 400 new jobs created,“ Colton Cureton, the Vice President of Economic Development with the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, said.
This is thanks to additions like the Amazon Distribution facility and Southern Roots Nut Company.
Most recently, the Dothan Warehouse announced a new expansion project.
The city has also secured and cultivated property that will promote industrial growth in the new year.
“As we look at 2025, we hope to see some of the fruits of our labor come to fruition,” Cureton said.
