MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Dothan-area man was arrested after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a parking lot Monday afternoon, according to police.

A Mobile Police Department spokesperson said that man was Thomas Alexander Smith, 63, from Headland, Alabama. Smith was arrested after police said they responded to 321 Airbus Way around 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, for a report of a stolen vehicle.
INCIDENT LOCATION:
According to a department news release, officers found that a victim’s vehicle was missing from the parking lot. Officers said they identified Smith as the suspect.
Smith was charged with first-degree theft of property, according to jail records.
