SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – Dorchester School District Two is looking to fill the seats on its Citizen’s Review Committee regarding library materials used in the district.
The committee’s role is to evaluate and make recommendations when a complaint is made by a parent on library books and materials used in DD2 schools.
The committee will be made up of current DD2 teachers, media specialists, school and district-level administrators, as well as parents of enrolled DD2 students and community members who live in the DD2 attendance zone but are not a parent.
Dorchester School District Two board member Justin Farnsworth says that the goal is to have a fair and balanced committee.
