Donald Trump to interview Elon Musk on X: How to watch live [Video]

The billionaire has said the chat will be hosted live on Twitter, the social media platform he bought in 2022 and has renamed X. 

Musk tweeted: “This is unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!”.

He added that anyone with question ideas could post them beneath the announcement.

The interview has been planned for tonight, Eastern time (Monday, August 12). 

Musk tweeted earlier that it had been planned for 8pm ET, which is 1am on Tuesday, August 13 in the UK.

The interview will be staged on X, although it is unclear exactly where within the site the debate will be. 

It has also not been stated if it will be free to view or behind a paywall. 

Trump is now back on Twitter but has hardly used the platform since launching his equivalent, Truth Social.
