Dolores Huerta Foundation announces endorsements of multiple state props on the 2024 ballot [Video]

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Dolores Huerta Foundation announced its recommendations for nine propositions on this year’s general election ballot. People campaigning on the ballot measures spoke at a press conference and answered questions about specific props.

“We wanted to let people know in terms of our foundation the propositions we are endorsing and the reasons why we are endorsing them because we believe these propositions that we have endorsed will actually help people,” said Dolores Huerta, of the Dolores Huerta Foundation.

Familiar faces from Kern County politics spoke at the conference including, Ucedrah Osby, Neel Sannappa and Jeremiah Chapman.

Susie Shannon, from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, spoke on Prop 33-the prop that allows cities and counties to enact rent control. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation put this prop on the ballot.
