Dollar General apologizes after shopper rips ‘pathetic’ store for understaffing that leads to self-checkout chaos [Video]

RETAIL giant Dollar General has apologized after a shopper slammed one of its understaffed local stores for creating chaos during checkout.

The angry customer has taken to social media to call out the “pathetic” store and slam its decision to remove self-checkout tills.

They wrote on X/Twitter: “This store is pathetic. You got rid of the self-checkout and left just one guy to take care of this mess.

“And on top of that, you refuse to hire [more] people. It is under-staffed everywhere. Get it together or fire your CEO.”

Dollar General has since responded and apologized to the fuming customer.

A spokesperson wrote to the shopper: “We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

“Please know that your feedback will be shared with the appropriate members of our team.”
