DMACC said it will need to spend over $250,000 to comply with the previous injunction, and is pursing a coinciding bond increase to be paid by Drake University.
DES MOINES, Iowa — After the Des Moines Area Community College lost its ability to use certain branding centered around a “D” logo earlier this year, the school has now filed to increase the preliminary injunction bond in its lawsuit against Drake University, and said it plans to appeal the case.
An injunction bond is set to protect a defendant that may have wrongly been accused in the event the court sides with the defendant.
The bond in the DMACC v. Drake case was initially set at $25,000, but DMACC said there is much more at stake than that, citing $250,000 as a number it says is more realistic.
