Un Kyu Lee designed the Micro Journal device, which is a writing technology that makes the simple task a more seamless process. Nowadays, digital typewriters are dubbed smart typewriters and it is free of distractions as they are only to be returned out, written with, and turned off again.

A lot of these devices remain minimal in terms of their visual design to avoid more distractions but the designer noticed that this could feel uninspiring.
