ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Team (DSAT) will set up at Anderson Library beginning on Tuesday to help homeowners with necessary steps towards recovery.
The team will be working from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
These teams assist disaster survivors with the paperwork involved with the application process for FEMA, address immediate and emerging needs, and provide referrals to additional community resources.
Anderson County Emergency Management also announced that a contract was signed with SCDOT to clean up debris in Anderson City, Belton, Honea Path, Iva, Pelzer, Starr, West Pelzer, and Williamston. Large claw trucks will move through these areas to pick-up debris from the side of the streets.
