While Redd Kross never went to the top of the charts, before there were social media influencers they influenced the music scene — even if Jeff and Steven McDonald founded one of the most famous bands you may never have heard of.
But now, in his first film, veteran TV writer Andrew Reich is setting the record straight, finally giving the trendsetting SoCal musicians their due in his new documentary Born Innocent: The Redd Kross Story.
Director/producer Reich’s rock doc interweaves archival footage and concert clips with many original interviews conducted for Born Innocent featuring the McDonald brothers and various rockers.
