Elisa Beshero-Bondar is a professor of digital humanities. Most of her career has been spent digitizing old text. Now, Artificial Intelligence can scan hundreds of files in a database in a matter of seconds.
When Beshero-Bondar was first introduced to AI, she was impressed by the tech. Her students had mixed reactions.
“My students are excited, cautious, and a little scared of AI, because in my program it affects their career prospects,” said Beshero-Bondar.
