CAMP HILL, Pa. — One of Central Pennsylvania’s most popular police K-9 officers will get a shout-out on ESPN.
Detective Gibbs, the Community Resource K-9 for the Camp Hill Police Department, was nominated for an American Kennel Club Award for Canine Excellence earlier this year.
Unfortunately, the police department said, Detective Gibbs did not win the award. However, he was selected as a finalist in the Uniformed Services Division and will receive a brief acknowledgment for his service during the awards show, which will air next week on ESPN.
The 2024 AKC Humane Fund Awards for Canine Excellence will air at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15, the police department said.
